Sunday's Hip Hop Leaked Singles! (4/18/10) Part 2

Jason Derulo - HeartBeat (Feat. Wiz Khalifa) R&B songs are not a norm around these parts, when they show up, they're on fire, and we try and help fuel the flame. Get a load of this banger! Fresh off "borrowing" lyrics from Imogen Heap, Derulo delivers along the Wiz Kid, for an infectious body shaker. Preach on Wiz.

Dorrough - Get Big (Feat. Nitti) Summary: Get big and get that paper. Two themes that plague this generations rhymes. However, Dorrough brings such good dance flavor and vibe to tracks to make them shine. "..she was like yaaa buddy." You don't say so?

Jay Rock - Who Am I (Feat. Lea) This old school Al Green style beat sets the tone for the story. Jay Rock has steady been on his grind in the blogosphere this year, mad props for stayin' on ya grind homie. "I'm a product of these projects, the crack that you cook up / I'm the needle that you shoot up, I'm the gutta, I'm the sewer."

Young Buck - Til I Get Off Work Alright, Buck used to workin' with millions, he's tryin' to relate to the average person with this joint. Glad he's reppin' the ordinary people. Great feelin' with this song, the beat does Buck justice.

S. Fresh - Venom [Remix] (Feat. Rick Ross) With a beat like this, Ricky would have done better to rap as fast at the beginning of his verse, as he did at the end. The auto-tune chorus is rather annoying, starts to sound like squealing after a few listens. "...tell your top 5 favorite rappers get a rop and hang they self." S. Fresh keeps his lyrics pretty fresh.

Rebstar - Dead Or Alive There's a lot of promise in the future for Rebstar if he works on his game. The beat seems a little lacking in perspective to what his lyrics talk about. Something dark, with more bass kicks would have been a better beat for a song like this. Lyrically, Rebstar has moments of brilliance, but overall he's still behind with spit game.
